Good news!! We did not have to reformat the computer. That is such a huge relief. We had a virus and have no idea how it sneaked past all out protection. The computer is running great right now and I am keeping my fingers crossed. On the knitting front.... I borrowed One Skein from the library. There are a couple of projects that I am interested in. I like the Cabled Footies pattern and the Baby Bolero. I had some Mission Falls cotton I had bought last year. It was perfect for this little bolero. I had two skeins of this color. It was plenty with a small ball left over. My friend's daughter is having a boy next week. I am going to mail out this little sweater and a hooded sweater I made a few months back. It is a shame they discontinued the Mission Falls cotton. I really like working with it. It adds such a nice texture to a project. I would love to make a baby blanket with this cotton.

I am working on some more felted clogs. I have three children on my Christmas list. I have their shoe sizes , so that is a big help. I enjoy knitting the clogs. It is a fun pattern that works up quickly. I made three pairs a few months ago. I have not felted them yet. I just don't have much storage room. I will wait to felt most of my projects till December. I am also working on a pair of socks for my 8 year old niece. They are just a simple Knit 2, Purl 2 ribbing. I am continuing the ribbing down the foot. Let's see....What else is new since my last post? Oh yes.. We had to stop feeding the baby raccoons. The other night they were trying to get in the house. They all gathered at one of the screens and were scratching to get in. Miss Peaches was not happy to say the least. I have been reading a few books the last couple of weeks. I read
The Kitchen Boy a story of the last Czar of Russia. It is a work of fiction and history. I have always been interested in the Romanovs. This week I read "The Shop on Blossom Street". It was such a quick light hearted read. I enjoyed it because of all the yarn and knitting talk. I just checked the next one, "A Good Yarn" from the library. My reading has really suffered since I picked up knitting again. I am hoping to find a happy balance. I really do miss reading every night. I guess that is all the news from here. I am off to check out some blogs . Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Happy Knitting!

I finished my stockinette picot socks. They are a nice change from my traditional K2P2 ribbing.I had bought this yarn on a Menonite farm in Pennsylvania a few years ago. you never know what lies beneath in the stash. I think I will make some baby socks out of the leftovers.I bought a copy of "Sensational Socks".It is a great resource book. I also have a copy of "Socks,Socks,Socks" from the library. I am trying to decide on a pattern for the next pair.

I dyed some yarn last night. The yarn is the ugly gold Bartletts that I have a ton of.I needed some black to go with the black and white mohair I bought at the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool.I am going to make a pair of mittens with this yarn. Well, I am going to close this post for now. We are having major computer woes.I have a feeling we will be dumping the computer this weekend. Don't you hate it when that happens?
